1. INTRODUCTION. Welcome to the Marinalife Readers' Choice Awards. By participating in the voting process, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before voting.
2. ELIGIBILITY. Participation in the Marinalife Readers' Choice Awards is open to individuals who are at least 18 years of age at the time of voting. Employees of Marinalife, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and their immediate family members (spouses, parents, children, and siblings and their respective spouses) and individuals living in the same households of such employees are not eligible to participate.
3. TO ENTER. To enter on-line, go to https://www.marinalife.com/readers-choice-awards and fill out the online entry forms as instructed. This contest will run from 12:01am July 1, 2024 until 11:59pm on September 30, 2024. Votes submitted after the end date will not be counted. Each participant may vote once per category per day. Votes must be submitted by the participant themselves. Votes submitted on behalf of another individual or using automated methods (including but not limited to scripts, macros, bots, or any other automated system) are strictly prohibited and will result in disqualification. Multiple votes submitted by the same participant in a single category on the same day will be disqualified. Participants must provide valid and accurate information when voting. Marinalife reserves the right to disqualify any votes containing false or misleading information.
5. WINNER SELECTION. Winners will be determined based on the total number of eligible votes received in each category during the voting period. In the event of a tie, Marinalife reserves the right to select the winner based on additional criteria determined by Marinalife in its sole discretion, including but not limited to the quality of the marina's services and facilities. Marinalife’s decision will be final and binding. Winners will be notified by email or phone and announced in an upcoming issue of Marinalife Magazine, as well as on Marinalife's website and digital platforms.
6. RECOGNITION AND AWARDS. Winners will receive recognition in Marinalife Magazine and on Marinalife’s website and digital platforms for one year. No cash or other prize substitutions will be provided in lieu of the recognition.
7. ADDITIONAL INCENTIVE. For every 500 responses received, Marinalife will randomly select one participant to receive a complimentary Marinalife + Sea Tow membership. The selected participants will be notified via the contact information provided during voting. This offer is subject to availability and Marinalife reserves the right to substitute the membership with an item of equal or greater value if necessary. Participants are not required to make any purchase to be eligible for this offer. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible responses received.
8. DISQUALIFICATION. Marinalife reserves the right to disqualify any votes that are deemed to be fraudulent or violate these terms and conditions as determined by Marinalife in its sole discretion. Marinalife reserves the right to disqualify any participant who attempts to tamper with the voting process, acts in a disruptive manner or otherwise interferes with the program, as determined by Marinalife in its sole discretion.
9. PRIVACY. By participating in the voting process, you consent to Marinalife’s collection, storage, and use of your personal information for the purposes of administering the Readers' Choice Awards. Marinalife will not share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except as required by law. 10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. Marinalife is not responsible for any technical malfunctions, interruptions, or failures of any kind, including but not limited to issues with the voting website, network, hardware, or software malfunctions, or other errors or problems of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, or otherwise. Marinalife is not liable for any damages, losses, or injuries arising from participation in the voting process or acceptance or use of any recognition awarded. By participating in the voting process, you agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless Marinalife and its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from or in connection with the voting process or the awards.
11. MODIFICATIONS. Marinalife reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time in its sole discretion without prior notice. Any changes will be posted on the Marinalife website. Continued participation in the voting process after any modifications to these terms and conditions constitutes acceptance of such modifications.
12. GOVERNING LAW. These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from or related to the Marinalife Readers' Choice Awards or these terms and conditions will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Maryland.
