North Carolina, Lockwoods Folly Dredging

The Dredge BETTIE G II will be conducting dredging operations until approximately 19 Feb 2020 at Lockwood’s Folly Inlet crossing in North Carolina. Shoal material will be removed from Tangent 11 and the channel widener located on the ocean side. Dredged material will be pumped thru 20-inch pipeline that will extend onto beach at Holden Beach. The dredge can be contacted on Channel 16 and 67. There will be numerous buoys, anchors and pipelines within the channel and mariners are requested to pass at a slow speed and use caution. During the first week of April, the Coast Guard Fifth District will discontinue Cape Fear River – Little River Buoy 46A (LLNR 40223) and Cape Fear River – Little River Buoy 46B (LLNR 40224). Charts: 11520
