Florida, New Smyrna Beach Bridge Closure

Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is authorized to temporarily deviate from drawbridge operation regulation 33 CFR 117.261 (h) that governs the George Musson/Coronado Beach (SR 44) bridge, mile 845 at New Smyrna Beach on the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway (AICW).

Under this temporary deviation, the George Musson/Coronado Beach (SR 44) ) Drawbridge is allowed to remain closed to navigation from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019 to facilitate the New Smyrna Beach CAPS “Rise and Shine” 4 mile charity event. Public vessels of the United States, vessels in distress, tugs, and tugs with tows shall be passed at any time.
