Florida, Jacksonville, St. Johns River Bridge Schedule Changes

FEC RR Bridge, New River: The Coast Guard has authorized the Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) to temporarily deviate from the drawbridge operation regulation 33 CFR 117.313(c) that governs the FEC New River Railroad Bridge across the New River, mile 2.5, at Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Under this temporary deviation §117.313(c)(8), 120-minute blocks of time are implemented starting at midnight each day. The FEC New River RR Bridge shall not be closed more than 60 combined minutes in each 120-minute block of time, and at no time will this bridge be closed to marine navigation for more than 60 consecutive minutes of time. This temporary deviation will commence at 12:00 a.m. on February 21, 2019 through 11:59 p.m. on May 31, 2019. All other parts of §117.313(c) apply during this temporary deviation.  In accordance with 33 CFR 117.35(e), the bridge must return to its regular operating schedule immediately at the end of the designated time- period.
