Alabama, Mississippi Lock Closures

BLACK WARRIOR AND TOMBIGBEE WATERWAY, ALABAMA TENNESSEE-TOMBIGBEE WATERWAY, MISSISSIPPI 

This bulletin replaces previous bulletins #20-18, #20-49, and #20-50. 

Notice is given to mariners that two locks on the Mobile District’s waterways will be shut down for maintenance this summer (FY-20). The shutdown specifics for each location are shown respectively below: 

Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway

– Jamie Whitten Lock and Dam – River Mile 411.9 

Closure – 0700 CST on 30-JUNE-2020 Re-opening – 1200 CST on 30-JULY-2020 

– Howell Heflin Lock and Dam – River Mile 266.1 

Closure – 0700 CST on 07-JULY-2020 Re-opening – 1200 CST on 21-JULY-2020 

All BWT locks will remain open this year. Disregard the previous bulletins #20-18, #20-49, and #20-50. This bulletin holds the current information.
