Kingfisher Bay Marina, located at mile marker 217 on the Tenn-Tom and Black Warrior Waterway, just north of the Demopolis Yacht Basin, is renowned as one of the finest marinas in the region. Offering first-class, modern, and pristine facilities for both residents and transient boaters, the marina ensures a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels at home. Whether docking a boat or bringing an RV, the marina and RV park are easily accessible via Highway 43. Kingfisher Bay Marina is two days or one long day and two locks from the Gulf Coast.
The marina is the realization of the vision of Mr. Arthur Taylor and Fred Hansard. Originally a field farmed by a local farmer, the discovery of high-quality sand suitable for the local cement plant led to extensive dredging, transforming the field into a marina by March 2017. Construction began in November 2010, with the first boats docking in July 2011. The facilities include a bulkhead, a travel lift pier, a boater’s laundry and restroom/shower building, and a social area with a wet bar for communal enjoyment. Visitors are invited to experience the hospitality and excellent amenities that Kingfisher Bay Marina offers.
