The rebuilding of the marina to provide new docks, utilities, a relocated fuel station and new restroom/shower facilities is scheduled to be open in late 2012. The popular ôOut of the Blueö restaurant is undergoing a complete interior renovation, and all existing beachfront cottages are receiving all new furniture and accessories. Plans are underway for the addition of a freshwater pool, beach bar and new marina guest cottages, all of which are planned for completion in 2013. Rum Cay is a quintessential outpost.
