How long have you been manager at Harbor East?

Harbor East Marina opened in May of 1994 and I have been the General Manager ever since.

You have seen lots of changes in Baltimore's Harbor throughout the years. Which change was the most exciting?

The Star-Spangled Sailabration in September 2014 with the hordes of visitors that poured into the harbor to witness the visiting Tall Ships, Working Craft, Blue Angels and the incredible fireworks.

Besides boating, what is your passion?

I enjoy riding my Harley Davidson MC and for the last six years I have rekindled my interest in creating original ceramic sculptures at Anne Arundel Community College.

What satisfies your need for speed?

My 1996 Harley Davidson Springer Classic tops out at 107 mph.

What is your favorite movie of all time?

All sea related. Now that's a toss-up between Master and Commander, Moby Dick  and Captains Courageous.

What is the most bizarre request you ever received from a boater?

A guy staying at a local hotel wanted?to charter a boat to go marlin fishing. He obviously didn't believe we were approximately 160 miles from the Atlantic Ocean.

Baltimore is known for its great local dishes. What is your favorite?

The heavy, large steamed crabs at Canton Dockside Restaurant. The steamed mussels at Berthas Restaurant also are great!

If you had a boater who has never been to Baltimore and can only see one attraction, where would you send him/her?

The National Aquarium if they had not been to an Aquarium recently. The American Visionary Art Museum just across the harbor from Harbor East Marina is also a personal favorite.

Who do you cheer on the most, Orioles or Ravens?

The Ravens are the definite favorites of the boaters and locals!

What is the one biggest mistake boaters make when they dock?

Not realizing the momentum that a boat has when it is taken out of gear. Not recognizing how a cross wind can complicate things. Not having lines and fenders out and ready.
