Westrec Marinas is a professional management service company dedicated to the marine industry, now celebrating its 25th year in business. Westrec Marinas owns and operates 32 marinas across the United States, from Hawaii and California to Florida and Georgia, including three marinas in Brazil.The company also handles fuel docks, repair and maintenance facilities, wet and dry storage facilities,- ships' stores, commercial real estate, restaurants, campgrounds and lodging facilities.WestrecMarinas has been committed to the highest standards of service since it was founded by Michael M. Westrec Marinas has many partnerships with government agencies throughout the country, including the Chicago Park District; Miami-Dade County; the cities of Fernandina Beach and Dania, in Florida; and the city of Stockton and the Port of Los Angeles, in California. Westrec has been managing nine marinas in Chicago since 1996. Westrec's Chicago operations received the 2012 ISS Fabien Cousteau Blue Award for their development of the 31st Street Marina.The award is an environmental honor, named for Fabien Cousteau, the grandchild of Jacques Cousteau, and is being presented to Westrec for an environmentally friendly structure the company built to house the 31st Street Marina's office and boat-storage facilities.The building has a green roof and includes a playground for visitors.Due to its high levels of facility maintenance and customer service, Westrec Marinas has differentiated itself from other marina-management companies.The diversity of their properties”from Sunrise Harbor in Fort Lauderdale to Cabrillo Way Marina in Southern California”makes it extremely important that they maintain their standards and their commitment to the Westrec philosophy across all locations.
