Suntex Marinas is a Dallas-based company that prides itself on enhancing the experiences of its customers. The company currently owns and operates marina properties throughout the U.S., plus one in St. Maarten. At the end of 2012, Suntex Marinas, which pursues a proactive strategy, acquired nine new properties in Massachusetts, New York, Georgia, Iowa and Texas. "We are aggressively trying to expand our coastal properties in order to provide our customers with unforgettable dockage and service stops every 100 to 150 miles along the East Coast," states Chris Petty, the company's president. As of today, three of Suntex Marinas' U.S. properties are coastal: Bay Pointe Marina, Liberty Landing, and Amelia Island Yacht Basin.

The most recently acquired of these three is the Bay Pointe Marina, situated in the charming town of Quincy, Massachusetts. This full-service facility includes 258 wet slips that can accommodate vessels up to 225 feet, a 50-ton travel lift, and a service department known as Seacrest Marine Services. Also, the marina is home to the Inn at Bay Pointe, a premier seafood restaurant with exquisite views. The town of Quincy is located just 10 miles south of Boston, which can be reached via a short ferry ride.

Heading south along the coast from Bay Pointe Marina is Liberty Landing Marina, located on the Hudson River within Liberty State Park. The marina quickly recovered just seven days after the devastation of Hurricane Sandy last fall, and it remains a premier location for boaters who want to access New York City. The marina has 550 deep-water slips that can hold vessels up to 225 feet, and two popular restaurants are located on property: Liberty House Restaurant and Maritime Parc. Suntex Marinas also recently acquired Pier 25 in Manhattan's Tribeca neighborhood, where they will be providing all Liberty  Landing Marina visitors with dockage for day trips into the city.

Amelia Island Yacht Basin is the farthest south of the three properties, set on the northernmost point of Florida's Atlantic coast, in the historic city of Fernandina Beach. The large modern facility is a full-service marina with a brand-new 50-foot travel lift and a full service department. There are 135 wet slips and a nice size dock that can hold vessels up to 85 feet. "The Suntex Boat Club will debut at the marina this summer, giving customers access to SeaRays, Boston Whalers, and pontoon boats. This is a great way to get more people involved in boating," says Chris Petty. The Yacht Basin also has an onsite restaurant and tiki bar, a great place to spend a relaxing evening on the water.

So when planning your summer cruising destinations, be sure to stop by one of the premier Suntex Marinas properties for outstanding customer service and an unforgettable experience!
