Milwaukee, WI
Milwaukee County’s only public lakefront marina recently completed phase two of a three-phase marina redevelopment project along Lake Michigan. The spacious 703-slip facility offers floating docks and fuel services, and recent property upgrades include reconstructed stormwater utilities, boat trailer parking areas, boat storage area, new underground fuel tanks and fuel delivery system, and a digital pay station for launch fees. The marina also boasts a reconstructed fish cleaning
facility with a new shelter structure, utility systems, lighting, decorative perimeter fencing, cleaning table and grinders, as well as a secure storage area with lockers.
Rock Hall, MD
Boaters can enjoy a cozy getaway at this hidden gem along the Chesapeake Bay. The Inn at Haven Harbour recently introduced the new Crew Quarters cottage, an eclectic two-story retreat boasting breathtaking water views from almost every angle. Ideal for large families or groups, the pet-friendly cottage hosts up to 14 guests and offers upscale amenities. Dock at Haven Harbour’s full-service 200-slip facility or Haven Harbour South’s 150-slip marina, both situated in a protected cove of Rock Hall Harbor.
Savannah, GA
Located along the Savannah River just a few miles inland of the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway, this marina provides incredible views of Savannah’s downtown historic riverfront district and is located just a short ferry ride across the river. The marina’s 100 slips can accommodate all vessel types with virtually no depth or air draft restrictions. This purpose-built facility offers essential amenities required to comfortably welcome all boaters including superyachts, cruisers and great loopers.
Naples, FL
This private, member-owned yacht club in north Naples recently received a certificate of completion for the full rebuild of the marina following destruction from Hurricane Ian in September 2022. The $20 million marina renovation and seawall reconstruction courtesy of Bellingham Marine and Kelly Brothers Inc. revitalized 1,500 liner feet of seawall, 113 concrete floating slips, 70 timber slips with IMM Quality Boat Lifts, and seven floating aluminum slips.
Fort Myers, FL
Another Florida marina making significant restoration progress from Hurricane Ian damage in 2022 is Salty Sam’s located along Fort Myers Beach. Golden Marine Systems, in conjunction with Gorman Marine Construction, recently completed installation of the new D-Dock, featuring the innovative 850 Series dock system equipped with Endeck Ashwood decking. The system also includes 12-inch adjustable cleats, pile guides and finger piers designed to withstand harsh marine conditions and provide a safe and user-friendly experience.
Fort Lauderdale, FL
Pier Sixty-Six Marina has remained open for boaters throughout a recent resort transformation inviting guests to enjoy its impeccable setting and exceptional service. Docks on both sides of 17th Street provide easy access to the Intracoastal Waterway and Atlantic Ocean, making it an ideal destination.
